About the Role

As Medical Director, you’ll provide both strategic and clinical leadership for our multi-site primary care operations. You’ll oversee medical staff performance, champion quality initiatives, and help drive innovation in team-based care while maintaining a small patient panel.

You’ll Lead:

  • A collaborative team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and care coordinators
  • Quality improvement and clinical protocols aligned with HRSA and NCQA standards
  • Provider recruitment, credentialing, onboarding, and performance coaching
  • Integration of medical, behavioral health, and dental care under one roof

Ideal Candidate

  • Board-certified MD or DO in Family or Internal Medicine
  • Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Oregon
  • 3+ years of clinical experience; leadership or administrative experience preferred

Position Overview: Klamath Health Partnership, Inc. (KHP), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in Southern Oregon, is seeking a Medical Director to lead our clinical team. The Medical Director will play a pivotal role in setting clinical standards, overseeing the delivery of medical services, and ensuring that our health center provides the highest level of care to the community. This position reports directly to the CEO and is integral in shaping our clinical strategies and patient care policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for all clinical staff, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of care and compliance with all regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and implement clinical programs and services that align with the center's goals and community health needs.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and continuing education of medical staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical practices and methodologies to continually improve quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, community leaders, and stakeholders to promote wellness and health education.
  • Manage the budget for clinical operations, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource to medical staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field.
  • Valid state medical license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of the operations and challenges specific to Federally Qualified Health Centers.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
