Overview

The Business Analyst is responsible for the evaluation, optimization, and support of the company's business processes related to the Infor CloudSuite Distribution (CSD) ERP system. This role focuses on understanding and enhancing workflows across the organization, particularly in sales, procurement, inventory management, order management, and service operations. This includes being a key contributor to efforts related to project management, identifying requirements, analyzing systems (ERP and other Business Applications) to ensure they meet complex and changing business needs and interfacing with project stakeholders. The Business Analyst will work closely with department leaders, end-users, technical support vendors, and others to ensure that systems meet operational objectives and supports the overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management:

  • Document requirements, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to meet business strategies.
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; monitoring scope; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
  • Ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.

2. Requirements Gathering & Documentation:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather and document both functional and technical requirements for enhancements or new ERP system capabilities.

3. Business Process Evaluation:

  • Analyze current business processes related to Turf Equipment and Storr Tractor’s operations (e.g., equipment sales, inventory management, procurement, and service) to identify areas for improvement or optimization within the ERP system.
  • Identify areas for improvement.

4. System Optimization:

  • Work with Infor CSD System Implementor and relevant business units to design and implement process improvements that streamline operations and align with business goals, ensuring the ERP system is used efficiently and effectively.
  • Make recommendations on operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.

5. Data Integrity & Reporting:

  • Develop and recommend data management best practices and facilitate accurate reporting.

6. Testing & Validation:

  • Support the design and execution of test plans and test cases for new features or configurations.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system changes meet the needs of the business.

7. User Training & Support:

  • Develop training materials and deliver training sessions to ensure users across departments are proficient in utilizing the ERP system.
  • Provide ongoing support for troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues.
  • Manage users, roles and permissions.
  • Ensure high levels of service delivery, systems availability, security controls and recoverability. Drive cost saving through innovation and critical thinking.
  • Be a major contributor in the forensic analysis of a system issue and add value to the determination to the root cause analysis and the development of improvements to prevent recurrence.

8. Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current on Infor CloudSuite Distribution updates and features and suggest improvements to the system to better support evolving business needs.
  • Design and implement performance and operational enhancements.

9.Documentation & Communication:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, ERP system changes, and training resources to ensure clarity and consistency across the organization.
  • Produce project charters, project management plans, Architectural review documents, design reviews, change and release management documents.
  • Provide organization wide communications on system issues and availability, as needed.

Education & Experience

  • 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst/Project Management, preferably within an equipment dealership, distribution, or equipment sales environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with ERP system optimization, testing, and process documentation.
  • Experience managing small to mid-size IT projects preferably within ERP systems and/or business system applications.
