Overview: Encore Semi is looking for a highly motivated
AMS Pre-Silicon Verification Engineer to join our expanding team of analog/mixed-signal IC experts. This role is ideal for experienced engineers with a strong foundation in
Cadence-based verification flows , deep understanding of
data converters, TIAs, and LDOs , and a passion for developing and validating high-performance analog systems. Candidates with experience in
analog memory and broader
analog signal processing circuits are also strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform pre-silicon verification of AMS designs using Cadence tools (Spectre, AMS Designer, Xcelium, etc.), from block-level to full-chip simulations.
- Develop verification plans, behavioral models (Verilog-A/AMS), and testbenches to validate functionality, performance, and corner case behavior.
- Work closely with design, layout, and digital integration teams to ensure accurate modeling and seamless mixed-signal integration.
- Focus on verification of circuits such as ADCs, DACs, transimpedance amplifiers, voltage regulators (LDOs) , and related analog IPs.
- Analyze simulation results, debug discrepancies, and drive closure on functional and performance verification issues.
- Support design reviews with verification-driven insights and contribute to continuous improvement in verification methodologies.
Qualifications: - MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with specialization in analog/mixed-signal design and verification.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in AMS IC development and verification; experience with Cadence AMS verification environments required.
- Solid understanding of analog circuit fundamentals and behavioral modeling techniques.
- Hands-on experience with data converters, TIAs, LDOs , and familiarity with analog memory or analog signal processing architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, TCL, etc.) for automation and regression setup is a plus.
- Proven ability to work in collaborative teams across design, layout, and digital disciplines.
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is between $140,000 to $160,000, which also includes a comprehensive benefits package.
