Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Assistant Deputy Director of Sales (ADD), the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I – Specialist) will serve as the District Sales Enablement Manager. This position will play a key role in statewide program evaluation, training resources, content, messaging tools, interdivision communications, and complex analytical assignments associated with district sales to ensure consistency across districts, increase productivity and ultimately drive revenue growth and improve customer experience. The Sales Enablement Manager will also independently monitor and prepare analytical reports and projections for the Sales program.

This position is headquartered in Sacramento and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as assigned. Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Eligibility for telework requires the employee to reside in California per California Government Code Section 14200 which states: “telecommuting means the partial or total substitution of computers or telecommunication technologies, or both, for the commute to work by employees residing in California.

Working Conditions

  1. Schedule:  8am – 5pm Monday-Friday
  2. Travel: Occasional to meetings and/or District Offices and retailers.

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, tracking spending trends, and identifying financial risks.
  • Proven track record in sales analysis, performance evaluation, and territory management to effectively identify improvement and training opportunities within a sales team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • (+ years) analyzing sales metrics and implementing strategies for performance improvement.
  • Proven project management skills successfully coordinating large meetings, training sessions, and develop training programs.
