Davey Resource Group, Inc. has a unique culture that focuses on the open exchanging of ideas, community partnership, a commitment to safety, and delivering unrivaled client service while acting as industry leaders in utility and environmental services. **What you'll do:** + Provide mentorship and guidance to entry-level pilots, fostering their growth and helping them to enhance their skills. + Operate a drone according to a specified flight plan, ensuring all tasks are completed and required forms are submitted as directed. + Plan drone flight paths for routine cases, collaborating with other pilots and flight crews to ensure safe and efficient operations. + Adhere to policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all FAA regulations. + Report and record flight logs and findings, ensuring all necessary data is captured for each flight. + Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks. + Maintain accurate records for inspections, repairs, modifications, and routine maintenance to ensure proper UAS functioning. + Inspect and service drones, replacing parts as needed, and troubleshoot equipment issues. + Assist in the preparation and application of treatments using UAS, including mixing chemical products and seed mixes. + Perform other related duties as assigned. **Qualifications** + Valid Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107 license) from the FAA and approval for Part 137 UAS operations with completion of training or a degree in aviation, engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on commercial experience with a variety of aircrafts. + If flying aircrafts over 55 pounds, must hold an FAA Class 2 or 3 medical certificate. + Minimum of 100 documented flight hours on relevant UAS types. + Ability to acquire applicable licenses as necessary per state requirements. + Experience utilizing FAA regulations and restrictions, including working with airspace, LAANC, geozones, FAA waivers, and unlocks. + Experience in flight mission planning and various execution software. + Extensive experience with various sensors for photography, videography, + Knowledge in principles, techniques and applications of unmanned aerial systems(UAS). + Demonstrated experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and mechanical issues. + Willing and able to travel, including on short notice, for emergency situations and disaster response. + Ability to work independently and with attention to detail. + Proficient in computer software and programs necessary to complete job duties. **-Strong skills and capabilities in at least one of the following areas of expertise:** + Remote sensing experience with imagery processing and photogrammetry software packages like Pix4D, DroneDeploy, DJI Terra, Agisoft Metashape, ENVI, ERDAS IMAGINE, Global Mapper, and DroneMapper; other automated pre-flight and flight planning software such as AirData, DJI Pilot, UgCS and Auterion; or GIS experience with two or more desktop GIS software packages like Esri ArcGIS, AutoCAD, QGIS, Microstation, or other geospatial tools. **What we offer:** + Career Development Program supported by Industry Expert Safety Specialists & Skills Trainers through the Davey Institute of Tree Science. + A company vehicle for commuting purposes & cell phone. + Competitive wages based on qualifications and experience and excellent benefits including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. + Employee referral bonus program. + Educational Scholarship Program for employees and families. + Charitable matching gift program. + Employee Stock Purchase Plan: Opportunity to buy company stock at a 15% discount and 401k with up to a 4% company match. + Paid Parental Leave, paid time off and paid holidays. 20% discount on all Davey services. + Cell phone and vehicle purchase discount program. **Who we are:** Davey Resource Group, a Davey Company, is a leader in the natural resource, environmental and forestry consulting industries throughout the United States.
