*Position Summary:*The Department of Sociology, Criminology, & Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites applications for a 1-year, visiting position in Sociology to begin August 1, 2025. Candidates will be considered regardless of field of specialization. Teaching excellence is paramount, and the demonstrated ability to instruct a range of undergraduate courses in the general education and departmental sociology curriculum is required. Applicants should also demonstrate their excellence in mentoring of undergraduate students; preference will be given to those who have supervised undergraduate research. Successful applicants are expected to have completed their Ph.D. in Sociology or a closely related field by August 2025. The contract is for 9.5 months with a competitive salary and 3-3 teaching load.
